One way that patients can replace many teeth at one time is through a dental bridge. A dental bridge is an artificial set of teeth made out of porcelain. For more information on dental bridges, keep reading.
What Are Dental Bridges?
Dental Bridges are artificial porcelain teeth that replace one or more teeth. Anchor teeth support them. These are healthy teeth next to the missing tooth crown. The anchor tooth is the bridge supports. The artificial teeth sit between the anchor teeth, replacing the missing teeth.

Dental Crown Versus Dental Bridge
Dental crowns and bridges are similar. They are even milled on the same machine, the CEREC. Yet, there are a few differences. A dental crown replaces a single tooth, while a dental bridge replaces many teeth. Dental bridges are many dental crowns attached to make a bridge.
Why Would I Need A Dental Bridge?
There are many reasons why you may need a dental bridge. A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. One way a missing tooth can occur is through trauma. If the tooth is knocked out, then it can be replaced by a dental bridge. Another way is through decay. Decat can happen to the tooth or the gums. During tooth decay, bacteria eat away at the tooth’s surface. In periodontal disease or gum disease, the bacteria eat away at the gums and bones, weakening them.
